The construction industry offers a wide variety of options to both men and women. Apprenticeships are available in many areas where you are able to earn wages while you learn the trade. Training takes place both in the classroom and on the job. Some of the programs available include boilermaker, bricklayer, carpenter, cement mason, electrician, glazier, insulator, iron worker, laborer, millwright, operating engineer, painter, plasterer, plumber & pipefitter, roofer & waterproofer, sheet metal worker, sprinkler fitter, and teamster.
